Hey all,

At the meetup yesterday the idea of playing Artemis came up. They describe it as "Star Trek through the Rock Band filter," with people acting as individual members of the crew (the captain, the science officer, the engineer, etc.). It's best if it's in a room somewhat like a bridge, with a projector for the Main Screen.

Indeed has a bunch of rooms that would be suitable, and is also fairly well located (we'll arrange for a carpool for people interested in central Austin). Unfortunately, they also shut off the air conditioning evenings and weekends. (I'm writing this email from one of those conference rooms now, and the temperature is basically equal to the outside--a little too warm to be comfortable, but not terrible. Not sure it'd be the same with six people and computers in the room, though.) We'll know Monday what it'd be like a weeknight.

Rick suggested UT as a location--we'd have to use a classroom, but we can probably find one that we could configure well enough.

I'm terms of timing, I don't think there's anytime that works well for me this week, and then I'm at ICML next week (with interferes with both adjacent weekends). Maybe Tuesday the 28th?

Warmth,
Matt

Maybe you should send out a doodle (http://doodle.com/) for interested people to fill out.
