For over a century and a half, hives haven’t really changed. Just wooden boxes re-spun. We wondered something else: what happens when you design a hive around bee biology?

I know you probably hear from companies about new hive gear constantly.


Here’s the difference: we’re seeing beekeepers double colony size and significantly higher yields. Not through fake hype, through full-system design around bee biology.


Standard box hives were designed in the 1800s. They lose heat and fragment the brood nest. Bees end up spending energy on survival instead of growth.


Primal Bee’s design combines optimized insulation, vertical brood frames, and controlled airflow to create stable brood conditions that let colonies stay in expansion mode.
