A few of you had mentioned an interest in the Bike MS ride I am participating in this spring from Houston to Austin, and asked that I give you more information. The following is an update I sent to other supporters I know. If interested, please read on.
Hi All,
As I continue preparation for the
upcoming 2014 MS 150 early this spring, I
am humbled by the outpouring of support received thus far, both inspirationally
and monetarily.
Over the past couple of months,
many of you have shared encouraging testimonials of how MS has directly
impacted your life and/or those dearest to you and expressed heartfelt thoughts
of appreciation. It is for this very reason I ride – to spread hope and
optimism towards finding a cure.
I am also pleased to say, that
thanks to donors like you, we are off to a brisk pace at 19% of our goal.
Thanks again. If you have not yet had an opportunity to give, please
consider doing so now. Whether your gift is the pennies left over in your
pocket at the end of a day or the cost of a single cup of coffee per day, what
matters more to me is that you support in whatever way works best for
you.
Please also encourage your
friends and family members to join in as well. Forward this message onto
them, and proclaim your support! I would love to hear from you and them.
For those among you unfamiliar
with the MS 150, this is a two-day ride in early spring between Houston and
Austin where 14,000 bicyclists join forces and commit to increasing
consciousness about the pervasiveness of multiple sclerosis and to raise funds
towards eradicating its existence. This one bike ride is among 100 bike
rides nationwide committed towards one unified purpose: A World Free of MS.
Below are some links to assist
you making an informed decision.
And again, thanks for your
support!
Sincerely,
Allan
