Hola folks,


As a volunteer for Eeyore's Birthday Party I have been asked to
participate in a "Love Your Park" day at Pease Park on February 14, 2009
at 9:00 AM. This is an opportunity to help the forest of trees at Pease
Park. Between the drought and the park department's lack of funds, the
trees in Pease are at risk. Please join the Friends of the Forest
Foundation in a day of work to help our park. The details are below
along with a link to the Austin Parks Foundation.

We use Pease Park every year for Eeyore's Birthday Party. It is time to
give back to our park. I hope to see you Saturday, February 14. 2009 at
9:00 AM at Pease Park. Please let me know if you think you'll make it!

You can RSVP to me and I'll send the total number of people that we are
providing to Richard when I get a count.

Upcoming Events
Pease Park Workday: Saturday, February 14, 2009, 9:00 AM
The plan is to tackle the hillsides at Kingsbury that have been damaged
by the frisbee golf foot traffic and erosion. Volunteers will spread
Dillo Dirt and mulch provided by the city to reduce soil compaction and
protect tree roots. We will also work on erosion control projects to
prevent future damage. (This is being coordinated with the Eeyore's
Celebration Bd. of Directors. ) RSVP to Richard Craig, 925-5306,
