Help Paint and Work on the new VSA arts of Texas Gallery
Wednesday, December 17 through Friday, December 19, 2008
10am-4pm all days
3701 Guadalupe, Suite 103

VSA arts of Texas is proud to announce that we just signed a lease for
a gallery space. We want to start exhibiting work by our talented
artists with disabilities as soon as possible. But first we need to:

Clean and dust
Prep for painting
Paint the walls
Paint and seal the concrete floors
Widen doorways for wheelchair access

Carpenter
We are seeking volunteers with carpentry experience to help us with
widening doorways. Having your own tools would be necessary. This
would need to happen before we start painting. So if you can help with
this, let me know as soon as possible.

Prep Workers
We need volunteers from 10-11 am on Wednesday, December 17th to
prepare for the painting. This includes washing down the walls and
taping off the areas that won't be painted. No experience needed. All
tools provided.

We need volunteers from 10-11 am on Friday, December 19th to prepare
for painting the floors. This includes sweeping and mopping the floors
and taping off areas that won't be painted. No experience needed. All
tools provided.

Painters
On Wednesday, December 17th from 11am-4pm we need volunteers with
painting skills to help paint the walls. All painting supplies will be
provided. Lunch will be provided. Hopefully we will be finished in one
day, but we may need help on Thursday, December 18th as well.

On Friday, December 19th from 11am-4pm we need volunteers with
painting skills to help paint the concrete floors. All painting
supplies will be provided. Lunch will be provided.

This is a great opportunity for a team to volunteer!

Please contact April Sullivan at 512-454-9912 or ap...@vsatx.org to
volunteer. Let me know which duty and shift you are interested in.

Thanks,

April Sullivan
