Parking/Security Instructions for Saturday School for the Blind

Patrick: Be sure all your volunteers get this. Thanks.
Please feel free to park your dismantling equipment by the playground
or use Pecan street for this purpose. Please do not block walkways
during the dismantling. The volunteers can park be behind building
507. 507 is a two story building east of the play ground. Security is
located in the back of this building and they will need to run all
individuals through the raptor system for their visitor name badges.
Security will help you with additional parking if needed. Most likely
the security person will be Steve on Saturday.
Your group will need to enter the campus off 45th street by the
Superintendent's house. This is the 3rd entrance going west from Lamar
and the second entrance going east from Burnet. Please minimize
parking on the street because these are our fire lanes for emergence
access. We will have students here during this first weekend so please
be observant when driving, our inner campus speed limit is 10 mph
also, please have spotters around if you are driving off the street.
Students are trained to wait for vehicles to pass at crosswalks but we
ask that you wait for them to signal you by when driving. Bonner

Y'all, the playground you are taking away is by an empty dorm.
Steve is the security officer, he's really chill and wonderful. You probably won't see many kids, there aren't that many on the weekend.
There is one kiddo named....Matthew, who likes to hang out infront of the rec. He'll want to know what y'all are doing, and may be a bit awkward, but as long as he's not in your way, he's fine. He's a really sweet boy.
Other than that, you might see my kids....(but I'm calling in sick as I have to be in SA)....but they won't be around campus much, unless they go to the gym or for a walk.
To get to building 507, turn in from 45th street. It'll be the entrance closest to burnet, and the one with no brick wall next to it.
Go through the stop signs and turn at your first right.
507 will be at the end of that little street.
