City of Austin to hold virtual open house this evening for pedestrian crossing and urban trail ADA Transition Plans

The open house will take place this evening, Tuesday, June 24 from 6-8 p.m.

Dear Austin Community Member,

The City of Austin is working on the ADA Transition Plans for the Pedestrian Crossings Program and Urban Trails Program. We’re working to help make pedestrian crosswalks and urban trails in the city more accessible.

We want to hear about your experiences, where the City could improve accessibility of crosswalks and trails, and any ideas you may have for improvements. These could be barriers such as crossings and trails not being well-lit at night, locations where curb ramps are too steep, crossings that lack the audible pedestrian countdown, etc.

The City is hosting a public virtual open house this evening, Tuesday, June 24 from 6–8 p.m. and would love for you to attend and share your feedback with us. To register for the virtual open house, click the following link: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_SM6jkxwFQCy9ZmNwn5E4VQ.

The open house will include an ASL interpreter and live captions. If you need additional interpretation services during the open house, please email Mobili...@austintexas.gov.

If you can’t make it on Tuesday – don’t worry! You can still share your feedback with us through this survey: https://publicinput.com/austinada

Thank you for your time and we look forward to hearing from you!
