On March 6, the Austin Parks Department announced the opening of the East Williamson Creek Greenbelt Trail:

East Williamson Creek: Donde Corre El Agua I Where the Water Runs | AustinTexas.gov

In the on-line announcement was a link to another related project, the Central Williamson Creek Greenway Vision Plan:

Central Williamson Creek Greenway Final Report_Small.pdf

In 2018 Kent Browning and the Austin Ridge Riders proposed a South Loop Trail that would connect all the separate sections of the Williamson Creek Trail, from I-35 to the Violet Crown Trail (see map on Google Drive):

This trail would then connect to the East Williamson Creek Greenbelt Trail to run east to South Pleasant Valley Road. At this point Williamson Creek and Onion Creek are 400 feet apart. This link would allow connections to the Onion Creek Greenbelt and east to McKinney Falls Park, Richard Moya Park, and the Colorado River.

The BAC should support this trail concept to link the entire south Austin trail network.
