Hi all,

In case you're not aware, UT has proposed a dismount zone in central UT campus starting in late August.

This would push cyclists and scooter users onto busy roads without dedicated facilitates such as San Jacinto, Guadalupe and Dean Keeton.

The City would have to remove Speedway as a AAA designated route, and it would conflict with plans to add a bikeway on W 24th on West Campus.

Chelsea and I wrote a letter stating our opposition, if anyone wants to share it or write their own letter.

Best,
Alejandro

Yeah, I don't agree with UT on this. It would dramatically affect students and staff and others that bike this space.

The fact they are making this decision when everyone is away for the summer shows that little to no one can oppose it.
