The Austin Transportation and Public Works Department is working to improve safety and mobility along East 12th Street from Navasota Street to Webberville Road to support safer walking, access to bus service, more comfortable and connected bikeways, and safer driving. The project team is hosting a community conversation to share more about the project and seek your feedback.     East 12th Street project scope map   Learn more about this project at AustinTexas.gov/east12th There you’ll find an illustrated map of the proposed changes and a survey to leave feedback. The site and survey will remain open for comment through Wednesday, July 5. The Project Team will host an online Community Q & A listening session on Thursday, June 15, from 7 to 8 p.m. via Zoom. Sign up and log in here. Submit your questions ahead of time here.  Join us at the Central Texas Juneteenth Festival, Rosewood and Boggy Creek Park, 2300 Rosewood Avenue on Saturday, June 17. City staff will be on hand to answer questions and hear your thoughts. The planned changes are anticipated to improve safety for everyone who uses these streets and enhance connectivity between destinations around east Austin.
