Steck Avenue provides important connectivity and neighborhood access for people driving, walking, bicycling and accessing bus service to, from, within and through the North Shoal Creek Neighborhood. The City of Austin will resurface Steck Avenue from MoPac
to Burnet Road, providing an opportunity to implement planned safety and mobility changes.

INSTALLATION
Resurfacing of the roadway is scheduled to occur this summer. New markings and signs will follow resurfacing after the new pavement has cured and paint can be successfully applied. The street will remain open at all times during construction. All work is dependent
on weather and any other unanticipated delays.
BACKGROUND
These changes are informed by a community conversation that began in 2017 and was later incorporated into recommendations in the
North Shoal Creek Neighborhood Plan (Recommendations MC A9, MC A11a, and MC A23), adopted August 2018. The planned maintenance work provides an opportunity to now implement these recommendations.
