Hi All,
My name is Susan Barnes, and I am a PhD candidate at Macquarie University in NSW, researching gender equity in STEM.
I am currently recruiting participants for my PhD research project exploring whether feminist science principles and practices may be useful in enacting cultural change towards minority workers in Australian STEM workplaces.
This research brings feminist science theories from feminist Science and Technology Studies into conversation with gender equity theories from feminist Organisational Studies. The aim is to influence deeper, foundational ideas about the nature of science work to assist organisations to rethink their approach to cultural change.
I am interested in talking to anyone who is familiar with or practices feminist science and/or technology. I am looking to solidify my understanding of the characteristics of feminist science and/or technology, and to hear your thoughts on why feminist science and/or technology has struggled to become mainstream.
If you decide to participate, you will be asked to attend a semi-structured video interview lasting approximately 45-60 minutes. This study has ethics approval through Macquarie University.
