Here's a thread where you can talk about errors that you have found on google maps.

Here's one I found:

You know in 2011, the Bruxner Highway west of Tenterfield was renamed Bruxner Way, well Google Maps shows the highway as Bruxner Way for some odd reason!

Goldfields Highway north of Kalgoorlie WA is marked as non-existent State Route 49. I reported it last year and my change request was refused...

A few of my observations:
  1. Many motorways are marked as highways or expressways on Google Maps (of particular note are NCX, Calder Fwy, Southern Expy, Bruce Hwy north of Noosa or the Princes Mwy). This is particularly noticeable on Google Earth, and I made a thread about this issue a while back.
  2. NR83 is marked as a major highway for its entire length when it's equivocal to the average Outback dirt track
  3. Drummond St in Perth, TAS, used to be marked as B52, but I think this has been fixed.
  4. Alt-SR89 is marked as A89 between Pikedale and Inglewood(?)
  5. I remember that B23 in Kingscote ends somewhere around https://goo.gl/maps/hgdmQuP4aUCVDMBm7 (per signage), but Google Maps claims it ends near Kingscote Jetty.
  6. As annoying as it is, A32 now terminates a few kilometres north of Tarlee in SA, and the small section of Horrocks Hwy that connects A32/B82 is now exclusively signed as B82, disconnecting A32 from the rest of SA's network of A-routes. Google Maps, however, still signs this section of road as A32, not B82.
  7. For SA and VIC, it's inconsistent with its usage of NH-alphas, which have been progressively replaced with standard alphas for quite some time now
There's another one that I know of, but it isn't in Australia (or anywhere near here for that matter) but is more egregious than any of the above 7 that I listed. In EG,  Google Maps shows Autopista del Nordeste (roughly translates to Northeast Mwy/Fwy in English) as a small rural road (with at-grade junctions). Attached is a comparison of Mapbox (which uses OpenStreetMaps) and Google Maps. Granted, I haven't been to Equatorial Guinea to confirm what the road actually looks like, but it's a massive flaw on Google's end.

Continuing on with the EG example, I just looked at newer satellite imagery and can confirm that it's a dual carriageway at minimum.

Pacific Highway upgrades had given extra numbering inconsistencies in Google Maps. I hv said this before but if u now go beyond the B56 Port Macquarie Interchange where A1 becomes M1 irl, Google maps doesn't recognise this part and is seen as A1

Parts of Princes Highway still have NR1 in some settlements like Berry along with the M1/A1 mess there as Princes Hwy. IRL, it doesn't seem TfNSW will upgrade this route to be full M1 Princes Mwy (or Hwy if we use M31's example)

Its also interesting to note that when in traffic mode in Google Maps, the M31 Hume is the longest dual-highway in Australia despite that there are more M roads that may reach similar lengths (M1 Pacific when its projects are done). For some reason, unless you zoom in really close, M23 Federal doesn't get the green treatment either despite being the same road standard as M31.

Minor thing here but, the South Western Freeway is back apparently (No F5 tho) when the M5 transitions to the M31 at the Cutler Interchange in Prestons. I tried reporting it to Google multiple times like with BingPress said but I haven't even gotten a reply back and it still exists.

Yes, Google Maps is inconsiderably out-of-date when it comes to newer roads. The recent Pacific Highway upgrades are the perfect textbook example of this.

Remember google maps allows user contribution so feel free to suggest edits and new roads, I’ve done a few myself

They've always seemingly rejected many of the issues I brought up. Some did get fixed, though, such as B52. I also don't know if this is a glitch, but the system wouldn't let me request a fix to the Equatorial Guinea example I mentioned above.
