Longest freeway

Hi guys

 

So there must have been some progress on the longest “freeway-style” road in Australia lately.  I’m acknowledging not all the Hume and Pacific Hwys are true freeway standard, but if we kind of adjust for that and say “no traffic lights, free movement, four lane minimum” then the projects under construction right now will eventually give us a result of more than 2,000 km.  But right now, I am assuming Branxton to somewhere in Victoria would be the longest?  I am guessing you could add length in Sydney now with Westconnex… M5-M4-M7?  And what actually is the longest Victorian bit?  I quite like M31 to the ring road over Westgate up CityLink and out to Ravenswood… but is there longer?
