Hi all,

As it's out of copyright, I've uploaded the entirety of the 1934 1st Edition Gregory's Sydney Street Directory online here: http://voommaps.com/historical-maps/1934-gregorys-sydney-street-directory/

I just had a quick look whilst at work, and very impressed. Such a great resource!

I find the County of Cumberland scheme the most interesting.
A couple of observations -

  • Good to see the F1, F3, F4, F5 & F6 corridors
  • No F2 corridor?
  • The entire Parramatta Ring Road and the Cooks Rivers corridor
  • What is the corridor from that passes north of the current James Ruse Drive from Westmead - Northmead - Carlingford - Eastwood? Was that meant to be a Main north - main western rail link?
Thank you for uploading those maps. Wonderful history there.

That looks to be rail going to Carlingford based on the Legend. I also noticed that the F2 corridor is not there and that the F3 ends at Mt Colah. I kept thinking the F4 that is marked was actually the GWH but with proposed upgrades as I now assume it's route has been modified since then.

Also, I didn't know the Parramatta Ring Road was going to connect with Woodville Rd!
