Hi Guys,

A change of plans today, left me with a free day. I was meant to go to Goulburn this morning, so when things changed, I was still in the mood to go for a drive.

So I fired off the first of my day trips I planned a few days ago.

So off I went to cover Snowy Mtns Hwy (B72) and Hume Hwy (M31).

I haven't driven along Snowy Mtns Hwy from Cooma to Adelong before, so I gave it a whirl. It gave the Commodore a chance to stretch its legs after a marathon of recent minor repairs.

The standard overall of B72 is very very good. Really smooth and well maintained, except for a bit east of Tumut, which has had the bitumen chip seal wear back to previous layer along a windy section. This made driving quite tricky as the arse end of the Commodore kept kicking out, even at 40 km/h. It's waiting to be repaired along that section apparently.

No NR18 remnants were left and most signs were not sporting B72 coverplates.

M31 fully signposted between Sturt Hwy (A20) and Yass, with all signage replacements of NH31.

As I said in my A25 post, Lachlan Valley Way is signposted in Yass with topknots, because whoever designed the new signs didn't include the B81 route numbers on them.

Shitloads of dead kangaroos all the way from Fyshwick to Hall, via Yass. I and most others driving tonight took it easy because of the risk.
