I reckon there would be a quite a few 'Place A - Place B Road' names that are longer than 26 characters.
Coolgardie-Esperance Highway is a fairly well-known name which comes close, as does Koolyanobbing - Southern Cross Road.

Princes Highway East/Nar Nar Goon Connection Road.
This could be a contender. 43 letters + 6 spaces and the / slash. So 50 all up. Not much in the way of properties abutting it, but give it time.

I'm currently working on a project and we're trying to work out the maximum length of address that our system should be able to handle. I know there's the Diamantina Developmental Road which comes in at 26 characters long, but are there any longer ones than that?
Cheers

I think you might have the wrong interchange. The connection road
referred to on the sign in my picture isn't a former freeway. It
connects the former highway / freeway with the Nar Nar Goon Road.
South of the interchange looks ripe for subdivision.

Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road = 25 letters
Murray Valley Highway = 19 letters
