Hi all,
Been meaning to post some pics from this drive from last December, the Kosciuszko Road between Cooma and Jindabyne.
Some of the signs have blank coverplates, were these covering what was once the B23 until it was rightly moved to its present route? Was it signed all the way to the VIC border near Corryong?
Why not give this route another number given the quality of the road (quite good from Cooma to Jindabyne!) and its importance particularly in the winter months, the extension of Victoria’s B400 springs to mind. Or does it stay in the too hard basket due to the silly rule that B routes cant be over 100.
While the summer pastures aren’t green in this area, some nice scenery to be had near Jindabyne - you can almost see Mt Kosiuzsko in the distance from the pics overlooking the Jindabyne township.
Cheers,
Michael

I was thinking that the Kosciuszko Rd / Alpine Way corridor could be given router B96, and that the Khancoban-Kiandra Road could be given route B97 or an extension of B400.
Hi all,
Great photos. I have yet to travel beyond Perisher, Thredbo and Jindy myself. I should one day, seeing it's very much just down the road from Canberra. I did do B72 in 2013, and will have the pix on the site at some stage.
