Hi Guys,

I am trying to track down a date on when Pacific Hwy NR1 between Kirra and Tugun was shifted onto the current now Gold Coast Hwy alignment. It originally travelled via what is now Golden Four Drive.

The Tweed Heads Bypass opened in 1985, but the current route from there was in place before the opening of the bypass.

The route is over the former South Coast Railway Line which closed in 1964.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Paul

Based on opening date for stage 2 of the Tweed heads bypass, that should've been transferred in 1992?
Regards
Shawn
