Parts of Parker Street are very old, probably dating from the earliest subdivisions in the area. The sections between Maxwell Street and Jamison Road, and north of Glebe Place, weren't constructed until the mid 60s to provide that through route. The bridge over the rail line was also upgraded at this time. I'm not sure when it was first built but it appears on the 1943 aerial photographs and looks like a single lane bridge. From memory, I think it is also shown in the 1934 Gregory's but I'd have to check to be certain.
