Third lane open on Parkes Way

Hi Guys,

Last year TAMS started work on widening Parkes Way from 4 to 6 lanes between the Commonwealth Av (NR23) interchange and Glenloch Interchange, west of Black Mountain.

Today TAMS announced that the third lane is now open on Parkes Way westbound between Clunies Ross St bridge and Glenloch Interchange.

I took did a lap earlier today (no pics), and the 60kph limit was ignored by pretty much everyone. Will definitely be handy for commuters and the eastbound side of the same section didnt look like it was far off. Was a little surprised they went with a tensioned fence at the median rather than the usual canberra concrete blocks.
