Does anyone know any information about this street directory? It appears to be either a rip off or a spin off of the Melway style, but well before the first edition of Sydway was published. The font (Univers) is identical to the one used by Melway.

This dates to around 1984, while Sydway edition 1 wasn't published until 1994. The cover says 'A Runaway Publication', and the publisher is 'Weldon-Hardie'. I found a record on the National Library site, from an ACT library. Would be a shame if they only published a single edition before they turfed it!

Melway's website states that it took then ten years to compile the first edition of Sydway...perhaps they were behind this map and it flopped so it took them 10 years to reintroduce themselves in the Sydney market?

Never mind that, TIL that the M4 used to end at Concord Road, and never used to loop around onto Parra Rd like it now does

Hmmm...that's interesting. Were there previous editions of Robinsons street directories which used the Melway mapping style, or was this the first (and only) edition printed in the new style?

It's a bit like Fullers Adelaide or Streetsmart Perth (pre Melway Perth).
