The new signs look good. Well newer than the ones I have on the site :)

I don't like the 2 lined James Ruse Drive panel though

Yeah I don't get it either, especially given Western Motorway (which could've been Western Mwy) is all on one line. The rest of the designs are quite good otherwise.

Hm actually now that iv'e looked at it again, I agree with both of you and why does it have to be hidden behind those trees. I have never managed to get a decent pic of it while in a moving vehicle.

I also noticed that the To M4 sign has been moved from the top to the bottom.

I do think they should have relocated the sign structure - even on the other side of the road would have been move visible.

It costs a bit - probably $100k, if not more, but it's a bit pointless having a sign there you can't read while driving.

Yeah or even at the last minute. Apparently RMS is a bit hypocritical/double standed when it comes to placing signs behind trees (from a friend that used to work for Westlink Services in their environment section).

I never liked the road names in 2 rows. I've seen one today as well at the MR9 and the M4 Junction, "THE NORTHERN ROAD" in one line pointing south and "WESTERN MOTORWAY" with less letters (incl. spaces) on two rows pointing east. Grrr.

I recorded a drive on Sunday, which included a bit of the M4 from Strathfield to James Ruse Drive.
