When did everyone stop using Ceramic dots/domes as line markers for Freeways/Motorways/Expressways?

Early 2000s in NSW. ACT similarly, though they remain in situ in many places, often superseded by painted markings, but some roads have not been updated in recent times, so they still do their intended job
