I am a LEGO builder and for my current project I want to custom-design and print (at LEGO scale) a sign similar to this one:
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-31.7169458,143.4644901,3a,19y,73.33h,89.57t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s7wV-oUjmnanKNG969FT5nA!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D0.43448929353105825%26panoid%3D7wV-oUjmnanKNG969FT5nA%26yaw%3D73.33334072416885!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDMwMi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

I want to copy the green one that says "Cobb Highway" on it (not exactly the same but I want the white arrow and border, the white box with the road name, the place name and the yellow road number in the white box)

I remembered I had an old tool called TraSiCad that made signs and it seems usable (alongside the Roadgeek fonts I also rememberd I have). Only thing I can't figure out is which fonts (b/c/d/e etc) I need for which pieces of the sign (the black road name, the white place name and the yellow route number)

I would suggest taking a look at this guide for the use of Roadgeek fonts within Trasicad.

Managed to get something that works using Series E Modified for the road name and destination and Series D for the road number. What I ended up with in Inkscape (after exporting from whatever ancient-but-working TraSiCad version I have and then doing a small bit of manipulation by hand to account for the size it has to be to fit on the LEGO brick and such) is as close as I can get short of going to far western NSW and physically measuring some actual signs.rs.png
Of course if anyone has any feedback on how to make it look better, that would be great... (the grey background is because when I print it out on sticker paper, its going to be stuck on a grey LEGO piece)

Hi,

You could use Inkscape to do them yourself, using the open source Roadgeek fonts, all of which is free, which helps keeps the costs down and allows you to draw whatever you want. There’s most standard signs on Wikipedia too, if you’re after older style stuff (ie. pre-1974), I might be able to draw up some stuff for you, I need to redo them for my website anyway, so it could help both of us. The website is www.expressway.net.au incidentally.
