Sydney freeway newspaper clippings

Hello all,

Doing another trawl of Flickr tonight, I came across a small trove of newspaper clippings from the late 60s to the late 80s. Coverage includes construction and opening of the Warringah Expressway, Gore Hill Freeway, Sydney-Newcastle Freeway, F4, and some ambitious statewide plans.

fabianamuso has a massive collection on Flickr (over 400 pages) and would be well worth a look. I just searched for "Freeway" but there are sure to be other good clippings.

Good find. I'm old enough to remember writing to the DMR in 1987 to get a whole set of the Roads 2000 plans!
