Hey all,

On Sunday went for a drive. The summation:
- Parramatta; west on M4
- A9 and A44 through Penrith
- Joined M4 at Mulgoa Rd
- A32 to Lithgow
- B59 (full length)
- A9/A2 through Windsor
- A2 down to meet A40
- James Ruse Drive to M4

Observations:
- No SR40 shields seen along the whole drive until Old Windsor Rd / Abbott Rd in Seven Hills - seems they did a good job removing them, but I may have missed them
- It seems the MR2 shields are wide enough to be A40 between M7 and Abbott Rd on Old Windsor Rd - hopefully making it clear where M2 ends and A2 starts

Pictures:
- Other than B59, only other Alpha seen on the drive was the A32
- 07 - Seems the name was a late addition?
- 10 - With Zig Zag railway closed, the sign just looks funny. No picture of similar sign in opposite direction with Lithgow as the focal point
- 18 - Left over rivet holes clearly visible

...unfortunately the light got bad, so there were more photos but not great quality.

Regards,
Conrad

Sad to see the Zig Zag signs covered :(

Some nice work there, Conrad. That last photo of the A32 ID - is that at George St Springwood or somewhere else?

On pic 07, yeah the road name was added later. It's an early 1990s RD sign.

Excellent pix Conrad. Nice to see that Super Cheap building is finished now.

The coverplate jobs are excellent too. Takes some close concentration to see some of them.

Paul - Here's a bigger photo :)

Sam - Pretty good I think. Lawson is completely done. Here's a couple photos at Hazelbrook. Wentworth Falls did seem closer to completion though - and I think they were the only two towns up to Katoomba that were two lanes.

More good pix, despite the cages. I can't wait to see A32 finished over the mountains. It's been a long time coming.
