Acknowledgment of Country

We acknowledge the traditional Custodians of the land on which we connect, support and embrace each other - Whudjuk Noongar Country.

We keep in our hearts the resilience, resistance and strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the Elders that have been, that will be, and that are today. We acknowledge Blak trans and gender diverse young people and the value they add to Trans Youth Space.

It is a privilege to have a space that we can feel welcome, safe, included and dignified. For us, belonging means being around the ones we love, and being safe enough to express the different intersecting parts of our identities.

Our connection and belonging to place is important to us because it improves our mental health, sense of community, helps us enjoy life, and helps us to feel more loved and safe. We value that we can be with our community on land where Communities and families have existed, loved and cared for place for over 60,000+ years.
