Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) is a proudly LGBTQIA+ not-for-profit and member-based organisation with a 48-year legacy of protest, celebration and community connection. Each year, we engage over 2,000 volunteers to deliver events that uplift, empower and include.
We’re seeking a Workforce and Operations Coordinator to support our volunteer program and event operations for the 2025/26 season.
In this role, you will:
- Recruit, coordinate and support volunteers across major events
- Manage communication, scheduling and data via our Volunteer Management System
- Liaise with production teams, medical providers and community stakeholders
- Support training, briefings, meetings and stakeholder engagement
- Manage enquiries, administration and reporting
- Assist with logistics, signage, equipment and on-site operations
You’ll thrive in this role if you:

- Have experience in events, volunteer coordination or community programs (highly regarded)

- Salary of $65,000–$75,000 + super

This is a full-time contract for 5 months. Some weekend and after-hours work is required during the festival period, and leave is unavailable during major event delivery.
