Job description
- Location: Hybrid, work from home and occasional meetings in office (Fortitude Valley)
- Classification: SCHADS Level 5.1-5.3/$51-$53.31 p/h (depending on experience)
- Hours: Part Time Flexible Hours (0.4 FTE, 30 hours per fortnight)
- Contract: Ongoing, dependent on funding.
- Supervisor: The Grants, Fundraising & Partnerships Lead reports to the Executive Director

Diverse Voices is a community organisation dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing, and connection of LGBTIQA+SB communities through inclusive, person-centred support and engagement. Our Staff and Volunteers deliver peer support, Counselling, Community engagement, DFSV Support, Suicide Intervention (ASIST), SafeTalk, Mental Health First Aid and Safer Together (DFV Practitioner) Trainings.

Role Summary
The Grants, Fundraising & Partnerships Lead is responsible for identifying, pursuing and maintaining key funding opportunities and partnerships for the organisation.
This role works closely with the Executive Director, Management Committee and Program Managers in implementing organisational strategy and growth, with a focus on planned, thoughtful and well executed grant applications, fundraising activities and donor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue on behalf of the organisation, funding opportunities inclusive of grants, philanthropic funding, and fundraising opportunities (ongoing and event based).
- Develop grant applications and funding proposals, which are strategic, aligned with organisational expertise and of a high quality.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Program Managers and the Event & Community Engagement Coordinator to identify and support development and implementation key fundraising activities.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Director to proactively approach and then maintain relationships with potential and actual donors and partners.
- Track and report on progress and outcome of funding applications, fundraising and donor partnerships, including bi-monthly updates for the Management Committee.
- Any other duties as negotiated with the Executive Director based on organisational need.
About You
You are an experienced in roles similar to the Grants, Fundraising & Partnerships Lead, with strong organisational skills and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical practice.
Essential
- Minimum 2 years in similar role/s.
- Experience in the preparation and submission of grant and tender applications.
- Experience in building and maintaining donor and partner relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Highly Regarded
Experience in community services, health, wellbeing, or related sectors
Lived Experience of and commitment to supporting LGBTIQA+SB communities
- Have lived experience of being an LGBTIQA+SB person and understand from lived experience the diverse experiences, identities, and needs of LGBTIQA+SB communities.
- Commitment to inclusive practice, cultural safety, and community wellbeing.
- Ability to work within the values and mission of Diverse Voices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff, suppliers, and leadership.
- Experience managing confidential queries and providing accurate, responsive information.
