Hello!

I hope you are doing well. My name is Leila Enright, I am the producer at Green Door Theatre Company. I am writing to reconnect following your previous AGMC support of our show 'Omar and Dawn' by James Elazzi.

I am getting in touch about our new project; the inaugural Trans Theatre Festival which is happening at Carriageworks. 7-18th January. A bit about the Festival:

Under the artistic direction of Dino Dimitriadis, the festival marks a significant moment in Australian theatre: a festival dedicated entirely to the voices and visions of trans and gender diverse theatre artists.

The Trans Theatre Fest is a space for trans artists to lead, experiment, and take up their full creative power. It’s about celebrating trans-lensed storytelling, and creating a space where artists and audiences can meet to imagine new futures.

Headlining the festival is international writer, performer, activist and icon Travis Alabanza with their acclaimed hit BURGERZ, the first time Alabanza has performed the work in Australia. Winner of the Total Theatre Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, BURGERZ has been a sell-out sensation across the world since 2018.  This hilarious and heartbreaking show explores how trans people survive and reclaims an act of violence with a side of serious bite.

Alongside BURGERZ, the program features performances of Daley Rangi's Takatāpui and staged readings of new works Hermaphroditus by Zoe Terakes (Talk to Me), and Gull by Glace Chase (Triple X).

There will also be masterclasses and panels programmed as part of the festival.

Firstly, we have a discount ticket link to $25 tickets: https://my.carriageworks.com.au/overview/2253?promoapplied=true
