Executive Assistant to the CEO - Castlemaine

Australian Professional Association for Trans Health

Job description

ABOUT YOUR ORGANISATION

AusPATH is the national peak body for professionals working in gender affirming healthcare in Australia. We exist to strengthen access to best-practice, evidence-based and person-centred care for trans and gender diverse people. We do this by supporting clinicians, researchers and health professionals through education, standards development, research translation and advocacy. Our work addresses systemic barriers to care, counters misinformation, and helps build a health system where trans people can access safe, ethical and appropriate healthcare across Australia.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role exists to enable the CEO to lead AusPATH effectively and to ensure the organisation runs smoothly at both an executive and governance level. The Executive Assistant provides trusted, high-level support across executive workflows, Board and committee processes, and organisational systems. The role involves coordinating meetings and governance processes, managing correspondence and priorities, preparing clear documentation, and keeping actions moving across a small, fast-paced national organisation. By bringing structure, discretion and foresight to the role, the Executive Assistant plays a direct part in strengthening AusPATH’s impact and sustainability.

ABOUT YOU

You will bring demonstrated organisational capability, sound judgement and a proactive approach to coordinating meetings, managing correspondence and diaries, preparing clear documentation, tracking actions, and supporting governance processes. The role requires confidence working in an executive and governance context, with scope to deepen and extend these skills within a supportive environment. By providing structure, discretion and reliability, you will play a key role in strengthening AusPATH’s effectiveness as a national peak body.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

  • Part-time role (approximately 0.6 to 0.7 FTE, 3 - 3.5 days per week)
  • Flexible working hours by agreement
  • Limited work-from-home options
  • Meaningful work in a national peak body making real social impact
  • Exposure to senior leadership, governance and national health policy
  • Supportive, values-driven workplace
  • Fixed-term contract with potential extension subject to funding
