No law can change the truth
Last week, the NSW Supreme Court dismissed my appeal against the vilification findings brought against me and Binary Australia.
The $95,000 damages order stands. I am now also required to publish a court written confession of guilt pinned on our social media channels for three months.
I will not pretend this is anything other than deeply disappointing.
The posts at the centre of this case were straightforward: I shared publicly available information and asked why men were being allowed to compete in women’s football. For that, I have been found guilty of ‘vilification’.
But I want you to hear this directly from me: I am okay. I am grateful, genuinely and completely, for every message of support. Your encouragement matters more than I can say.
And I will not be bowing down to the mob.
No law and no amount of money can ever make a man become a woman. No court order, no damages bill, no compelled apology alters that biological reality. I will never comply with a lie.
What this ruling does is set a deeply troubling precedent. Journalists, politicians, and ordinary Australians now face real legal risk simply for stating observable fact. That should alarm every person who values free speech, regardless of where they stand politically.
Binary Australia will keep fighting. We will continue advocating for female sex-based rights in sport, in law, and in public life. A court ruling does not change the truth.
