LGBTQ+ experiences of forensic evidence collection
Our study aims to help support LGBTQ+ people who have experienced sexual assault, and inform training for health, legal and justice professionals.
|
|
|
We want to interview people who are
- LGBTQ+
- Aged 18+
- Living in Australia
- have accessed (or tried to access) forensic evidence collection following a sexual assault
Post-sexual assault evidence collection experiences of LGBTQ+ victim-survivors are severely under-researched, leaving important gaps in understanding and service delivery. This study aims to identify these gaps and improve the development of culturally safe and inclusive Health–Justice Partnerships.
Findings from this research will help inform training for health, legal, and justice professionals to better support LGBTQ+ survivors.
Interviews will take around 60 minutes and can be conducted in person in Melbourne or Perth, or via Zoom.
