Dear Presidents,

We will be having the Zone 1 Shinpan Seminar in the Southern California Region hosted by Western Kendo Federation.
Please pass the information to each of your dojo’s.

AUSKF SHINPAN SEMINAR ZONE 1
HOST: WESTERN KENDO FEDERATION
Location: La Canada High School
4463 Oak Grove Dr.
La Canada Flintridge, CA 91011

Dates: Saturday Oct 12, 2019 9am to 5pm,
Sunday Oct 13, 2019 9am to 1pm (with asa-keiko 7:15am to 8:15am)

The Seminar will include both lectures and practical experience. All kenshi from ANY AUSKF regional federation are invited to attend, however, participation as shinpan and instruction will focus on more senior kenshi (4th dan and above) to improve their skills and evaluate them as prospective shinpan for the U.S. National Championships. Attendees may also be able to participate in example taikai matches and participate in the godokeiko that will take place at the end of Saturday’s seminar and the asa-keiko, Sunday morning from 7:15am to 8:15am.

More Junior Kenshi are always welcome to attend as observers and act as shiai-sha.

The seminar fee: $15 (paid in cash at the registration table)
Bento’s are available for lunch on Saturday: $15
Dinner party Saturday night: Location (TBA) 7pm to 9pm
