Yesterday 25/11/15 all good. This morning I get this "Unknown error (Error number: A927.42) without even a login screen. No software updates for a couple of days - specifically no java or firefox updates. Running Firefox/Iceweasel 38.2.1 on Debian AMD64. I tried every Firefox version back to 31.1.0 and no joy. Any ideas?

Whoops - that says its specifically for Google Chrome ... but it is suspicious - maybe Firefox is also affected now?

I just tried the ATO using Firefox 42 under Debian 7.x AMD64 and it works.

Here is the java version I'm using
java version "1.7.0_85"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.6.1) (7u85-2.6.1-6~deb7u1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.85-b03, mixed mode)

Maybe try upgrading firefox and java?

I updated after the failure AND I also tried Firefox 42. I was running the same as you when the failure first appeared. Maybe it's something else?

java version "1.7.0_91"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.6.3) (7u91-2.6.3-1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.91-b01, mixed mode)

Per the form email from the technical help:
  1. Clear your web  browser cache
Issue was resolved by removing all my ATO cookies. All is well, blah blah blah. Excuse me while I put this sack over my head. Thanks for your suggestions.
