Why? They did their live news items all last night. What would be the point
of ANOTHER channel broadcasting EXACTLY the same feeds?

Or maybe you're complaining about the camels.. I don't think they were
flying the jets, so I dono why you'd find it a problem..

Jason.

They dont have the cash to pay the required $2,000 per hour to broadcast too
much BBC World, hence the little and belated coverage they do air I kid you
not. SBS won the last on-air prize, wating for an Arabic drama to end
instead before crossing around 12.30am EST, well after all the drama had
occurred.

What camels are responsible for the hijackings are they.

Why not?

What is the point of 5 channels showing the same pictures of
nothing new?

SBS showed the Jim Lehrer news special, devoted most of their
news to events and will give bulletins if anything new develops.

More than adequate coverage.

SBS have traditionally given people an alternative to wall to wall coverage
of major events - IIRC the Diana funeral was broadcast on all channels
except SBS. When someone complained on their "backchat" type show, they
said they wanted to give people an alternative, since there were 4 channels
already covering the same thing.
