Well, as opposed to the last two weeks this weeks was GREAT! bloody
funny, the whole time (except for the footballer)

even Angela Bishop!

Lano - was bloody hilarious

The financial woman - maybe it was her accent :o) but I thought she
was really funny too

Rob was great

Great line up

Kate was GREAT

Glenn was farking funny

Santo was funny

Tommy had a few good oneliners apart from his usual 'keeping
everything in order'

No Quarterbrain

Well, it wasn't *that* good I thought. Though it was good. I didn't
see every second of it though.
Angela Bishop bugged me, maybe I just don't get the idea of a job
where your supposed to drop names left right and centre.
The financial woman was good and I liked the bank jokes, a good bit.
Kate was good, though (and this is a minor point) her sleeves bugged
me, I'm sure there supposed to go down over her hands but it just
looked like she was really cold and trying to keep her hands warm.

Maybe its her industry trait?

You forgot to include those snorking, whinnying kind of noises that he
made to try and cover his embarrassment.

ROFL.

Interested to see you ended up with a sleeve comment after comments ranging
from "well dressed" to "Thats a terrible dress Kate is wearing, really
really bad.". :)

Sorry fats... couldn't resist. :)

Personally I didn't take a lot of notice tonight. I noticed a few unfunny
comments early on and tuned out... then later really did tune out when I
realised Red Dwarf was on.

(Naturally I tuned out with neither Twix nor Time Out!... Diet Coke and Tee
Vee Snacks were the go here)

Oh thank god. I thought I was the only one in Australia who sat
mesmerised by Kate's sleeves during the Panel last night. They really
annoyed me too. Don't know why!! It was a weird dress all round. Designed
for showing off armpit hair, perhaps? <G>

the only funny bit was the lano and woodly skits.....
the rest was plan booring!.....

bishop....uuuurgh!...shes a bit on the porky side!

financial woman and rob kracking on about the banks was overkill.

football guy - boring as hell!!!....like the panel meets the footy show!
they've been having alot of sporting stars on the show lately
which is a real shame.

the rest was ok... kate her usual intoxicated opinionated self.

I don't really see that that's relevant. She certainly isn't eye candy,
but it's the vacuous shallowness of her "work" and the incessant name
dropping that really make her a Menace to Society(tm).

Fess up people which of us wrote it? Come to think of it, it wouldn't
have been anyone here, as no-one would write a letter they'd send an
email. But you must admit it was very aus.tv

Lano!! <clap clap clap> Lano!! <clap clap clap>
He was *really* funny and would make an excellent panel member I reckon.
His bagging of the ABC was pretty funny- ie the timeslot of series 2, the
impersonation of the consuming passions guy, prefacing the playing of series
2 clips with "let's now see the first half hour of the show" (or something
along those lines). Very natural and very funny!! Vanessa :-()

Gawd... Merrick and Rosso. I've only seen one piece of material from
them... and boy I wish I hadn't. Childish and completely unfunny... except
possibly to those who are pre-pubescent.

I reckon those gestures look so hollow, unless they take the trouble to do
it for every instance: ie he resolves to meet every flight.
It's just pointless media bandstanding for him to meet the first flight and
no others.
The next planeload arrived with almost no fanfare at all.

I have a little bit of an idea... one of the ABC Radio journalists at least
was on that flight and his work was interesting listening. Um... can't
remember his name... err... it's a jewish sounding one if I remember
correctly... indeed I think he was making parallels to his family's history.
C'mon... must be a fellow ABC Radio listener who can help me out here...

Actually, it wasn't Merrick and Rosso who sent it.. which i find quite
amazing seeing as it sounded very much like one of their prank letters.
I don't actually know who sent it but it wasn't merrick and rosso
because they now have a guestbook on their website and someone wrote
asking whether it was them and there is an editor's note saying that no,
it wasn't. And if i've heard enough of their work, they'd be boasting
about how it was read out on the panel, etc etc..

And because i can't be bothered answering any other posts about them, I
can understand why Wollongong Quokka doesn't like them because they are
often not funny... BUT.. when they get a good joke going, MY GOD THE ARE
FANTASTIC! I'm a big fan of them so i quite happily sit through the
crap.. Did anyone here the prank call where they were RSVP-ing to the
Human Nature album launch?? Or the OV on vapour-rub(something that i've
actually done before myself so i understand the pain!). If anyone gets
to see one of their live shows, go.. i'm sure you won't be disapointed.

Indeed.

I was wrong :-(

As an aside, Raf had spent roughly 55 hours on planes or in transit when
he spoke with Metros, and with us .. I Gather he'd flown out to get the
refugees, then pretty much turned straight around and flew back with ém.

Which makes his stuff even more extraordinary.
