I thought this was a new release on Pay Tv but it's 2003!

Hotty blonde, very similar to Laurie Holden aka Eve.

Hotty himbo, very similar to how Adam lives.

"with the power of foresight he uses everyday items to become an
escape artist".

I don't have a great power of foresight, but God does for me!

That's like my life, I can enter any situation, having destiny still
at at future date, makes me invulnerable so there is always an *out*

ie. being Genesis Adam, I just go with the flow and always end up
ok.

But I still have to work out the solution, like in Paycheck he had to
work out the use of the 19 items in the envelope, and still dodge
bullets and stuff!

TRUMAN SHOW II = Magestic
Jim Carrey and Laurie Holden get together

TRUMAN SHOW III = Paycheck

I'm afraid it's just one of his many delusions. He'd stabilized a bit
recently, but now seems to be back in full crazy mode. He's talking
about his cloud picture delusions, his belief that he has a direct
line to an omniscient god, his claim to be rich, and his connection to
movies, not to mention that poor woman he's been stalking. Graham,
whatever you were doing that was helping to ground you for a while,
you really should go back to doing it.

Clocky asked you about a recently deceased person, not your ramblings
in another forum. Are you saying that you can't actually "channel"
for a specific question or issue, and that any "channel" you come up
with can apply to absolutely anything you've seen, read, etc.
recently? It seems so, and that would constitute an actual
degradation in the value of your channels, which I hadn't considered
possible.

BruceS

unread,
May 21, 2012, 10:20:52 AM5/21/12
to
Sure. I'll say once more that I don't pretend to have any magical
abilities or powers. This "hit" represents the sort of thing that
psychics do all the time (and they ignore misses), when they pretend
to contact departed loved ones. People like James Randi and Penn
Gillette could do a much better job of explaining (or doing) it, but
it's just playing the odds. If we were face-to-face, and I had a
couple minutes, I could throw out a bunch of other guesses, like "did
this person like water?" or "was there some court case involved?" and
watch for responses. If I were recording the whole thing to use later
(like the TV psychics), I could then edit out all the "no, that
doesn't apply" kind of responses and just keep the good ones. Even
people who were there, if they were inclined to magical thinking,
would likely believe that I'd done something extraordinary. Notice
how Graham couldn't get anything to fit on his chosen line, so he
resorted to fitting in bits from nearby lines, and using sounds-like
(foray = AAAA) to make a fit to something *completely unrelated* to
the question. I would really like to see someone with magic powers
(assuming they weren't somehow used against me), but it always seems
to come down to two things: delusion or fraud.

So,
Did this person like water?
Was there a court case?
I'm sensing the letter 'M'. Did this person's name, or the name of a
close associate, start with 'M'? (if not, maybe it turns out the clue
means the person was male, or knew someone who was).
Does the color blue mean anything here?
There was something odd about the person's left hand, I think. Does
that make sense?

Clocky

Surname starts with M.

Care to guess if male or female?

> Does the color blue mean anything here?

Yes, the person was feeling "blue".

The person was left handed.

That really made me laugh. Yes, that's exactly what it is, and I
think you're pretty clear on what I'm saying. A "psychic" would have
jumped on the water bit as a hit, even though you said "might";
ignored the court bit or said you just didn't know about it; guessed
the sex at random, with a 50% chance (I guess "female"); would have
really expanded on the "blue" bit; and would have been very excited
about the left-handed bit. That's way better than I expected. Look
out, Graham, a new psychic is in town, and he's ready to rumble!

Hmm...maybe I should hang up a shingle. Here's a challenge, and I
know I can do it. You think of any number (doesn't even have to be an
integer), then post with a random color and verb. Concentrate very
hard on the number when you post. Nobody else can post in the same
newsgroup for 24 hours, or it may throw off my connection with the
magic gnome who's hiding behind your couch reading your thoughts.
When I see your post, I'll tell you *exactly* what number I'm thinking
of. I'll be right every time, not just slightly better than some
arbitrarily chosen percentage.

Any takers?!

Wrong - he's male, so then you would have add that you see a close female -
possibly his mother or grandmother or a sister... that should cover up that
miss and turn it into a hit.

Haha, it pretty much went as I expected though your hit ratio is quite
good... if I was a believer, I would be utterly convinced that you made a
"connection".

It's amusing how bad Graham is at cold reading, but that's related to his
delusional and disjointed mental state inhibiting his reasoning and rational
thought.

Yes, that was pretty much the joke. On a side note, I don't believe
Graham could do the same thing.

I don't know if he had a sister, but I'm pretty sure he had a mother.
Yes...I'm seeing a mother figure, who had some major influence on
him. There was something unusual about her...

Or maybe it's the "opposites" bit. I knew a guy who believed in magic
powers, and claimed that getting too low a hit rate was *also* a
success.

Someone else (or maybe several someones) mentioned the name of the
condition where schizophrenics find patterns where there are none, and
turn random associations into significant relationships. I'm too lazy
to look it up, but Graham seems to have it in spades. I've noticed
odd coincidences enough times, and seen shapes in clouds, etc., and
I'm sure most people have. The unfortunate part is that while
sometimes Graham stabilizes and returns to a saner condition, it never
lasts.

oh pulleze, Randi and everyone at JREF KNOW I'm Genesis Adam.

so does half of queensland already.

you know, where KINGS BEACH is?

the only reason Bruce got "SMALL GUY" was

1/ he cheated
2/ he butted in on my channel

the only reason CLOCKY and BRUCE are patting each other on the back is

1/ CLOCKY is too dim to think "DNA request" was more specific than "A

2/ Bruce and Clocky know they are losers and covering it up.

I can take a photo of the mona lisa on cue, with more brushstrokes

Everyone who has ever met you in person would have worked out that you are
mentally disfunctional.

QLD somewhere. I've probably been there but I don't remember specifically.

How?

You answered first, remember, but your answer was nothing like as relevant
or accurate.

There was no DNA request, how could that even be more relevant and Bruce
interpreted the answer and asked a specific question which turned out to be
pretty accurate.

Jealous much, Cooper? Sucks to be shown up by a couple of sceptics in a fair
test doesn't it?

Only you can see it usually, or haven't you noticed?

What about Bruce's other hits?

You got none, well except for one very vague answer that I have to use some
pretty loose extrapolation to make fit and then you twisted it to make it
sound more relevant than it actually is.

Hardly a convincing display on your part, Cooper.

Bwaaahahahaaaaaaa Everyone including Randi knows you are an utter nutter.

debating skeptics is like taking a police interview

no use arguing with the adjudicators

anyway I don't see how you can call it a miss, even the whole passage
was about a tearful ceremony

at least Clocky gave it a fair shot, that's all that matters, unlike
the skeptic companies for the last decade.

Well no, not quite. He didn't remember you at all at first, but when
I told him enough about you to register, he said effectively "Oh, he's
just crazy." To be fair, after I'd laughed a bit, I realized he's not
being entirely reasonable about it, as pretty much anyone applying for
his prize is mentally unstable.

Would you care to explain *how* I cheated?

This is surely the best thing I've seen from you yet. I "butted in on
{your} channel"? So, you're saying I read your mind? I was only able
to get good results (far better than you *ever* have) because I read
your mind?

OK, that's an interesting claim. Please go ahead and post a photo of
the Mona Lisa with "more brushstrokes than DaVinci" (how is that
possible) and post it for us.

Hmm...are you saying your "photo of the mona lisa" is really just
another of your cloud pics, that look nothing like the Mona Lisa to
anyone but you?

this is just ..ramble..ramble..ramble..

the proof is in the pudding!

I mailed an international post card of KINGS BEACH to Randi. Genie 1

Then 6 months later I emailed him Genie 2.

the DOG is UNMISTAKABLE!

Then last month I emailed him Genie 3, the 3 Dragons.

Remember the map of the world with Australia and Queensland was a
Genie's horse head?

Kings beach was at the heart of the Genie...

the next day Randi has a map of the world of the northern hemisphere
on his site with the caption "I love a good detective story".

i.e. I also sent him the earlier snapshots of the Dragon from
Neverending Story.

More likely everything you send to Randi goes straight in the bin but it's
interesting to observe your broken brain managing to connect all these
completely unrelated things.

You were much more coherent when you were taking your pills, however.
