Natalie Miller is one of Australia's leading and most talented vocalists.
She has been in the public eye for fifteen years, performing on some of
Australia's best-loved shows and working with the world's best entertainers.
She is a consummate professional that has been honing her craft as a
singer/songwriter to perfection. Natalie was born in Vancouver, Canada and
moved to Australia at the age of five. With that move began Natalie's foray
into the world of entertainment. For the next six years she concentrated on
learning the crafts of singing and dance and by the age of eleven was
invited to join the Young Talent Team, performing every week on the
top-rating program. Over the next five years, thousands of Australian
viewers watched tiny Natalie blossom into a stunning 5'8" beauty as she
quickly became one of the most popular members of YTT. In the five years
that Natalie was a part of the YTT, she made over 200 appearances on
national television and performed numerous live shows at venues like The
Myer Music Bowl, major Entertainment Centers, Riverstage at Expo 88 and
Mainstage at Universal Studios, California. During this time Natalie was
also one of six members to be featured on a YTT spin-off called "New
Generation" which was made specifically for American television. A total of
thirteen episodes were made and broadcast throughout the USA, Canada and
Europe. After nineteen years of success, however, Young Talent Time was
cancelled at the end of 1988 starting a new cycle of success for Natalie.
Over the next few years, Natalie continued to grow as a singer performing
live in both club shows and cover bands as well as exploring other avenues
in the entertainment field such as modelling and acting. During this time,
however, Natalie discovered a passion for song writing and began devoting
much of her time to developing this newfound talent. In 1997, Natalie
started work on "In Melbourne Tonight" as a backing vocalist with the show's
in-house band. During the following year she performed with artists such as
Thelma Houston, Chubby Checker and Hot Chocolate's Errol Brown and did
numerous solo performances on this show as well as many other top rating
shows. In 1998, Natalie was hired as a backing vocalist for Kylie Minogue on
her "Intimate and Live" tour. This hugely successful show played to sell out
crowds throughout Australia and England over the next six months and
concluded with a television documentary of the tour and the release of a
live CD of the show. In 1999, Natalie performed with INXS with guest lead
singer Terence Trent D'Arby at the opening of Stadium Australia. This was a
particular thrill for her as she had been in rehearsals with the band late
1997 as a backing vocalist for their "Lose Your Head" tour when it was
unfortunately cancelled due to the tragic and untimely demise of lead singer
Michael Hutchence. Natalie spent the rest of 1999 writing and recording her
own material but her plans for a solo career were again put on hold when she
was asked to sing backing vocals for Barbara Streisand on her only tour of
Australia. The Australian media went mad with the news of Natalie Miller
performing at this event and she was featured in every major Australian
newspaper and on several national television programs including the "Today
Show". The concerts were a huge success and Natalie returned to Melbourne
to continue writing and recording her own material. While this remains her
primary focus she also is appearing as a featured guest vocalist with the
group Max 22 for the song " Gonna Miss Your Love" that is to be released in
September through Transistor. Natalie will receive a high amount of exposure
through this release with heavy saturation expected on radio, press and
television. Natalie Miller has fit in an amazing amount of high profile work
and achievements over her career. Her unsurpassable talent and charisma has
brought her to the attention of the world again and again, and now with her
decision to pursue her own solo career, the best is yet to come.
