If you weren't watching GITM, you would have been able to see
program on black holes on Channel (at least if you were in Sydney).

It was a lot of ruddy nonsense. If you did not see it, you did not
miss much.

In this case I'm glad I taped it, so that I can watch it with heightened
pleasure at knowing that John thinks it's crap.

And this is from the man who believes in relativity.

I've got more faith in the scientific rationale of wormholes from DS9 .

No, it described the concept of the TARDIS, not the TARDIS herself.

It travelled through Time
It had Relative Dimensions (so they could actually move inside the
'police box'

It also travelled through space.

<pedant> Actually, that's Time and Relative Dimension in

Just one dimension, oddly enough.

It's a common misconception, especially since IIRC the series got it
wrong sometimes :)

So I wasn't wrong then, was I? I mean I was using the quote from my

Yes, it did include clips from that wonderful program !

Science fiction in flares ! It was a magical piece of work,
psychedelia, and no program since has managed to capture the same
magic.

Cynically, it might have been said to borrow all the standard plots
developed by Star Trek, but its rendering of them was wonderful.

Black holes also had some excellent music and good computer graphics.

But, they clearly needed these things because of the problems with the
subject matter to start with.

I've said this to Robin, but it is equally applicable to yourself :

You can wallow and rot in a pool of your own ignorance. It does not
bother me.

Are you referring to your many posts on relativity, or your many posts

A kangaroo and a koala walk into a bar and the barman took one look at
the kangaroo and said, 'sorry mate, don't want *your* kind in here - get
out!' Now this really pissed off the Kangaroo and he started swearing
and abusing the barman, so the koala said 'You shouldn't have done that
- now he's hopping mad'.
