Hi all,

So who is still alive and monitoring this group? We should have a reunion meetup. Who still has a GIP?

Cheers,
Ross

Seems like the new X-files mini series announcement have more than a few
people thinking back to the mid nineties (it can't be twenty years ago
can it?) and our favourite TV show. Sadly my spelling does not appear to
have significantly improved in the meantime but at least my mail program
makes spell check a pre-flight requirement by default.

Our little corner of the internet influenced a lot of people. Google
turned this one up today for me:

I found this one a while back and it really brought back the memories
from late high school for me. I am also somewhat horrified by my writing
from back then. Pay attention in school kids and keep your thoughts to
yourself until you turn.... 30. At least.

All this reminiscence has me thinking I need to re-watch this show that
held a lot of good memories of great times and fantastic people.
Thinking back, we watched VHS tapes lovingly edited and sent snailmail
from the US so that we could watch the series at least somewhat in line
with the original screenings and avoiding spoilers on the internet. As
much as the world has changed and tech has evolved it's funny how some
things are still the same! So much to catch up on.

It'd be amazing if we could re-kindle Usenet but few people can access
it. I guess FB is the place these days but it isn't the same is it?

I check in here every now and then.

My GIP is packed up in my spare room, but it still held air last time I inflated it a year or so ago.
