Almost every night, sometime between 9pm and 10pm, the digital signal from all
of the 10 Network's channels in Sydney get badly affected by interference.

This isn't the type of interference that's caused by a helicopter. It lasts much
longer - often up to 3 minutes.

Has anyone else noticed this? And, more importantly, does anyone know what's
going on?

Not here.

Did the clock time when the interference starts change when daylight
saving time ceased?

Sylvia.

Haven't noticed and problem downhere (far south coast) .. well during the
hrs of 6:30pm thu to midnight - 1am. anyway.

Mind you were all bush down here, not sure if its anything to do with urban
areas or not.. and we definitely don't have any street lights...

No, I haven't paid too much attention to it apart from noticing it seems to
happen fairly regularly at night. The last time I noticed it was on Monday night
while Being Human was on. It didn't happen last night while I was watching
Dexter though.

If your down the south coast, then you'd be tuned into a different transmitter.

This is happening is Sydney and only for the last few months.

It should be happening again by now.

It is a loss of signal caused by a temperature inversion layer coming in from the ocean. Hot air trapped above the incoming cool air. I have witnessed the effect around 11pm almost every summer evening, for the past decade.
