Seems "reboots" are all the rage atm, but isn't it a bit too soon
for a Buffy reboot? It's still early days, but they're talking about
it. Joss isn't involved, and it won't have Willow, Giles, etc...
(which kind of makes sense if it's an "origin" story, but still)

I don't know, I've never watched a single episode.

What's it about?

What's it about?

**Pretty, apparently vacuous, teenage cheerleader (the name 'Buffy' kinda
gives that away), finds herself as 'the chosen one' of her generation to
fight vampires (and other assorted baddies). The premise started out as a
movie, which was pretty ordinary, but the TV series gained a much harder
edge and a nice dark sense of humour. I preferred the spin-off (Angel), but
Buffy certainly has it's moments. Gloriana is one of the afore-mentioned
baddies I particularly enjoyed. A beautiful, blonde woman with apparently
unlimited power and indestructibility. The catch? Dumb as a rock, a
California-beach babe way. Whedon turns the bad guy personna on it's head at
every opportunity.

Pointless, really, without Whedon, and especially without Gellar.

BTW, the new Whedon series "Dollhouse", with Eliza Dushku (who played Faith in
BtVS), starts on FOX8 on the 9th of June.

Possibly... If they waited a couple years, maybe - but like I said,
it's too soon IMO.

Indeed. It takes a few episodes to pick up steam, but I quite
enjoy it. It has also been renewed for another 13 episodes (in
case people are worried about starting a new show that gets
axed).

Of course you can, just coat it in glaze and fire it in a kiln first :-)

I had heard it didn't really get going until several episodes in. But I
quite enjoyed the first episode. My sisters are still replaying it,
