Russia bans Australian meat imports

Russia has cracked down on several Australian meat producers, imposing
temporary import bans.
Our Moscow correspondent, Scott Bevan, reports the temporary ban on
meat from several processing plants in Australia is due to forbidden
and harmful substances detected in meat during an inspection by
Russian authorities.
The ABC understands the bans affects four Australian plants, including
a beef operation and three kangaroo processing premises.
A spokesman for the Kangaroo Industry Association of Australia says
only one of those plants has been officially notified so far.
Talks about the restrictions are being held between Russian and
Australian government officials.
The Russian Federation has grown to become Australia's fourth largest
beef export market.

Sources indicate the forbidden substance to be male ejaculate.
Oolaf Prongski, head buyer for Better Red Meat Than Dead Meat company
said that he was discussing the problem with senior Kangaroo meat
processing plants in Ausfailure.
Sources from Ausfailure are perplexed by what have described as a
"Russian hissy fit".

said. However he continued that Ausfailure may have a problem with
copyright if it was sending freshly bummed and tainted export meat to
Russia as this was a prime market for New Zealand.
"Trust the Aussies to rip off one of our best ideas and then fugg it
up" said Wrong.
"This is one for the 'Cum back in your Face' book" he said.

So, it looks like the meat will be shipped to NZ instead then. I hear that
the ejaculate is already enjoyed in their lamb meat, it will mean that the
NZers will have a greater variety of meat to enjoy.
