Yep, I think the fact that Inu didn't drive through the tackle saved him
from being a spectator. Biggest issue is that nowadays players are 100kg
plus and that is really harsh on your skeletal system if you come down
at the wrong angle.
It was certainly a bad tackle though and deserves at least 3 - 4 weeks
for the lifting between the legs.
The one's I'm a little disbelieving of are the Thaiday and Cartwright
likely suspensions for daring to give the refs shirts a little tug.
In Thaiday's case the ref should have been blowing a penalty where the
scrum took place as he was definitely deliberately held back to allow
the gap that Slater went through.
I think it's time that ref's got fined for making bad decisions and 4 of
them showed they had no concept of fair play in that decision.
unfortunately the ref's are a protected species.
