I'm not sure if his death was accidental, but I know or a fact
that he was a manic depressive.
I was also told that he was abused by a coach at age 16, but
never told anyone.(Except for those closest to him eg his wife,
his family etc.)

Sam, I'm not sure if anyone knows whether Jackson's OD was accidental
or deliberate. From the few reports that read like something other
than media tripe, Jackson himself may not have known by that stage.
He certainly seemed one unhappy fella by then.
As Alan Woodley said, he was abused by a footy coach/teacher as a kid,
and was supposedly manic/depressive (usually referred to as bipolar
disorder these days).
The latter is bad news alright, having seen it at close hand with a
neighbour I knew well for years. In fact I had to cart his unconscious
(and bloody heavy) form out to his partner's car to take him to
hopspital when he OD'ed on prescription drugs.
I really feel for anyone who has to go through that type of crap.
It might be a tad selfish to say so, but it makes you think "Thank
christ it's not me!".

I think it's really a case of who knows ... no one was with him at the
time so I guess he was the only one who really knew. Sure he was manic
depressive but whether he purposefully took an overdose is something
between him and his maker I guess.
