Touch judge from hell, TV Weekes has done it again! This time he has
dudded Auckland in the reserves GF, running on, causing Kelvin to disallow
a fair Warriors try. This is after his joke performance in the Broncos-
Sharks semi (he didn't cost the Broncos the game, but he helped) and
similar incidents in past Origin games. In Perth earlier this year, Mark
Geyer told Weekes "I know where you live", probably after more acts of
stupidity.

P.S. Onya Crushers under 21s - Presidents Cup champions ($9 million
prizemoney would be nice)

Apparently Geyer's comment to Weekes was a joke, since they live
around the corner from each other, but Weekes still found it necessary
to report him. What a complete and utter asshole! Which explains
something coz assholes don't have eyes.

PS: Can anyone tell me how to contact Mark Geyer - I would REALLY like
to get 'TV' Weekes address off him... (I have a wee 'package' I'd like
to send Mr Weekes!)

Agreed Neal. Someone jokingly suggested to me that perhaps Cronulla paid
him off - personally I think he'd do it for the TV exposure alone!.

It does bring up a wider issue though. It perhaps wasn't the case here,
but it does seem that there is something seriously wrong with the
relationship between Referee and Touch Judge. How many times have we
seen a Referee see an incident, signal play on, only to have a Touch
Judge run on and the Referee reverse his decision and award a penalty.

In some cases that's fine, after all the touch judge is there to inform
the referee of thing he didn't see. However, the refs do seem too quick
to accept what the Touch Judge says - almost as if they feel obliged to
accept their call of the situation.

Does anyone else get that impression?
