I've never seen Webb get going when the going got tough in the middle.
He fires when the opposition is weak and over a small bloke he can
bully.
To me tough players are like Terry Randall, Chris Mortimer, Terry
Lamb, Dean Pay and the toughest of them all Ray Price. Those who can
cop a knock and keep on going.
Yep. Spot on, Matty.

Roger Millward an English prop was the filthiest player I have ever
seen back in the early to mid 70's. I remember Kiwi John Greengrass
scoring a try carrying Millward over the line with him when Millward
stood up and then raked Greengrass across the face resulting in a four
inch gash. I played against John in my 1st year of league and his last
year and he carried a huge scar from eyelid to the bottom of his
cheek.
Here is a great link of famous highlights including the Roger Millward
stomping http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfSWhA9vZQE
Cheers Corky
Only a myopic Canterbury fan could have forgotten to include Terry Lamb
as one of the premium fucking thugs that ever drew breath. While Boyd was
at times a little loopy, at least he was a half decent human being off the
field.
Lamb had longevity, but he was a Grade A cunt. Used to prectice a little
thuggery on the golf course as well, from memory. Ah well, with types like
him, a conviction is only a matter of time
Viper
Yeah, we like tough guys like Terry Lamb, not cheap shot thugs.
Sincerely,
Ellery Hanley
PS - forgot Webb vs Bailey, SOO. Bailey the bigger man, three
confrontations, and the apparently piss weak Webb, who isn't tough but a
cheap thug, put him on his arse.
Oh wait. It's Matt O.
Bailey really MUST learn to stop turning his back to Webb
Webb once tried to punch Clint Newton when he was on the ground pinned
underneath him. Newton turned his head which meant he should've been
clocked in the ear rather than the face, but the guy somehow missed
and just pillowed the ground. Of course channel 9 waxed on and on
about how lucky Newton was.
Roger Millward was a diminutive scrum half.
Try Jim Mills instead. He was a filthy player, but he was also hard as
nails.
Cheers,
Jeff.
Fly half, more usually. Top player, Roger the Dodger...
CP
What's with the ruggeroid terminology? I'm sure he played far more often as
a scrum half for his club Hull KR than he did as a stand off. Either way, I
don't ever recall him playing as a prop forward :-)
As for Jim Mills, he was a filthy player during a filthy era.. Different
game back then so he hardly looked out of place among the rest of the thugs
back then.

Yep.
Fighting cancer ATM unfortunately.

Cheers,
Jeff.
Poor news that. And news that one hears too often...
CP
