With the recent surfacing of rumours re: Brad's supposed substance problems
I was wondering if anyone knew who was in the car when Ben Alexander was
killed.

Cheers,
Shark.

If you are talking about Brad Izzard, they were two totally different
incidents.

Both equally tragic.

Glen Liddiard, Luke Goodwin and a St.Marys Metro Cup player with
Ben Alexander driving.

Now can you drop the talk about Ben Alexander.

What I was trying to find out was what effect if any it may have had on the
other passengers. I know Luke Goodwin had some discipline problems but am
hazy on Glen Liddiard. Wasn't he supposed to have huge potential but didn't
fulfil it. Anybody have any further information?

All I can really remember of this tragedy is seeing Mark Geyer (?) really
choking up on TV. I am pretty sure it was him and I think the event had a
pretty bad impact on Geyer, who incidently I always have had a soft spot
for. (despite his reputation etc). Maybe this is why? Dunno. <shrug>

Since then I've always had a soft spot for Alexander and Geyer. I think it's
taken this long for Geyer to come to terms with it and regain his control
and discipline. I believe that the Warriors were more like a part of the
therapy for Greg so he could get away from the reminders in the Penrith
area.

They'll think I'm another Stewart if you say that. I saw your ad in the
Herald for another brother now that Ian's gone. Sob, sob.

Another good call. On Alexander I too softened on him after that tragedy and
I have to say I am rarely soft on halfbacks least of all little aussie
glamour boys.

The one that went "In Loving Memory of recently departed Brother and ref"?

B'stards wouldn't put the ad in the death notices. I said "But you don't
understand, he's gone to live in Australia" They replied, "That only proves
he is brain dead Sir, we will need a full certificate from a coroner first"

We got some good responses to the "bro wanted" ad though, looks like we will
pick this aussie guy who came here to escape sheep jokes.

How is ET getting over his problems last year? Was it a bulging disc or bulging
muscles. This is only a question since you ask about Brad. Tit for tat only.

He'd be pretty stupid to try.

Here in lies a lesson for those who thought it was ok for that dickhead
to post his incredibly stupid accusation against Fittler. If you're happy
to accept rumour and innuendo against one player, then it's open slather.

We've all heard rumours and could easily post them in ways that wouldn't
leave ourselves open to court action the way that dill Andy Williams did.

We could flood the NG with rumours of all sorts about just about every
body involved in RL. But has this NG really sunk that low. If you were
happy to stand by when Andy posted his accusations against Fittler
then you've simply opened the door and put down the welcome mat
for others to do the same. You're not real bright some of you lot.

Mike B was spot on in his replies to little Andy.

It's a pity some of you were so slow to catch on.

Regards...Brett.

As usual you don't make sense. Try taking a breath when you write. I was
asking whether the accident could have had some effect on Brad's well
documented substance problems and what the effect was on others in the car.
Alcohol is a substance and you're guilty of leaping to a conclusion and
missing the point. The only tit involved is you.

everything is a substance....what are you talking about? because if
you're saying that getting blotto, on a night out, and falling asleep
in a cab...means you're an alcoholic with a substance 'abuse'
problem...then you're looking a little guilty yourself.
